Intense and addicting (caution graphic gore)
If you loved "Lost" & understood the greater meaning of the story and ending, you'll love The Leftovers. All of the characters are incredible.....ALL of them! Too numerous to mention each name but they will all affect you in one way or another. They are all very talented and portray the images of not just more of the same old glamorous, unrelatable, hollywood characters, but the image of real live relatable humans. The acting is superb. I find the series to have a much deeper message than just surface entertainment value in that there are several pieces to the puzzle among the lives of these people. I do have one major disappointment in that the graphic gore & violence & porn-type images in some of the scenes had almost made me stop watching. But because I was so engrossed by the story, I decided to cover my eyes during these parts and continue on. I see no entertainment value in the graphic violence & sex. (They didn't have to do this in LOST). If you can get past the horridness, and listen & watch very carefully otherwise, then you may love this mysterious and beautiful saga which no doubt is unfolding as a meaningful story.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

I didn't know this was adapted from a book.
So I'm not sure how closely it follows the book, but as a show, it was very engaging. I binged it in 2 days ( it was the weekend ) and couldn't wait for season 2 to arrive. There were a lot of unanswered questions but not enough to frustrate me. I really appreciated the wide range of actors involved and the acting was top notch!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Looks like they are using leftover actors although I do like Amy Breneman
Starts off very sketchy and too much moving from one thing to another which complicates the plot. After a couple episodes it starts to settle down but still jumps.
