Heavy drama dealing with difficult family issues
The main focus was on the interaction between the father, Robert Duvall, and his son, Robert Downey, Jr. These excellent actors were riveting as they showed us a picture a family struggling with death, illness, conflict, etc. Robert Downey Jr. brings the right amount of sarcasm, humor and pathos to the role of the son - a fascinating character study. Highly recommend it for the acting, both of the 2 main characters and the supporting cast, and for a well-told story.

The Judge is judged
Very good dramatic storyline. Several layers to this familial drama with strong characters and interesting twists but easy to follow. Excellently played. Again, performances by Downey & Duvall are top-notch.

Not a chick flick but if you don’t cry on this movie your not alive.
Can’t say much more. Must see. Permanent dvd in my collection! The guidelines say to be specific but too much will be a spoiler. Enjoy!

Robert Duvall amazes again!!
I really like both Duvall and Downey for their flexability and heffty roles. The Judge is a great movie. As you would expect with the cast involved.

Excellent movie
This movie was exciting, it had a lot of action. I really enjoyed watching this movie keeping me on the edge of my seat with excitement.

Highly recommend for 15 yrs and up
Wonderful movie highlighting complicated relationships within a family. Robert Downy Jr was excellent and as always Robert Duvall delivered a superb and credible portrayal of his character.

Emotionally intense, as father and son are both very prideful.
Absolutely brilliant, fantastic storyline, very gripping. It tugs your heart strings. I've watched it 3 times already since it was delivered!
