Great story and great acting.
Brilliant, subtle acting (Hanks and Streep !) Intrigue, important knowledge leading up to Watergate. Jason Robards' portrail of Bradlee - as evidenced in "All the President's Men," would have been a stronger, foil to Streep - but he wasn't available for the part.

An Entertaining History DVD
This "Like New" disc WAS just THAT! GREAT value for such an interesting movie. HISTORY that we experienced back in the 70's Seeing the "Special Features" w Steven Spielberg REALLY enhanced all the perfection in this movie!

Excellent film. You can never go wrong with Steven Spielberg, Meryl Streep, and Tom Hanks!
Arrived as promised. DVD played with no problems. The case was damaged so I just replaced it with one I had on hand. (purchased used)

Streep and Hanks, what's not to love?
Not the greatest movie either actor has done, but very good. Any movie that can keep your attention even when you know the outcome is good.

Great, current journalistic story loaded with intrigue and suspense.
An engaging, intriguing, current-news story played by leading actors Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep, iconic Oscar winners. Highly recommended to watch and own, comparable to the memorable Alan J. Pakula's "All the President's Men".

Great movie
As a retired journalist, I love this movie. I think it shows perfectly how good journalists work so incredibly hard to get a story right and disseminate truth to the public.

THE POST TAKES A LEAP
The movie "The Post" tells of the courageous Kathryn Graham who inherited the Newspaper "the Washington Post" during the Nixon administration. He was downing the paper, and she and her staff were faced with printing the famous stolen PENTAGON PAPERS revealing corruption during the Vietnam War. It followed the truth of how it all took place and the risk taken by a totally unschooled, but owner of the paper for years after the death of her newspaper owner-husband. Thrilling and very correct for today's world.

THE POST - Great movie, great acting
Great story of The Washington Post during the Pentagon Papers situation with Robert Redford as Dan Rather and Meryl Streep as Katharine Graham owner of The Washington Post. This movie shows us how important freedom of speech is in our country and how hard we have to sometimes fight to keep it.
