Great set of knives and storage block.
My wife was concerned that they would be like other Henckels "less stellar" (not made in Germany) knives, but we are both very pleased with the quality, finish, and sharpness of the individual knives. The scissors do not separate into individual halves like some, but they function well and wash easily none-the-less. The storage block has two remaining slots for adding a couple more blades of our choosing. Great price and value. I would recommend them to anyone starting out or upgrading from a hodge-podge set. very high quality
these are beautiful, very sharp well balance knives. My mother had the pairing knife for well over 35 year and used it constantly, when she passed away, we have continued to use it. When I saw this set, I realized they matched her knife, I decided to finally get rid of the Sabateir (sp) set we had been using for years. Those knifes were seldom sharp and stained or rusted in spots even though they claimed to be stainless. My mother's knife was obviously better sharp polished and more durable;clearly superior in everyway. I know now why she preferred it. These knives are made in Germany and are a great value and quality product. I hope to pass these on to my children who love to cook. I would never buy the Chinese knives again.
