Gets to places other books dont
Very useful guide to take the walker and landscape archaeologist beyond the obvious and to interpret the reasons why this tracks and routes run where they do - an insight into a past age where some routes are barely visible on the ground today. One reason why Britain’s landscapes are so fascinating. These routes are a classic example of a palimpsest.

A great read with plenty of facts packed in
This is a very interesting book about the old drovers road in Wales where I used to drive cattle and sheep to market very interesting as I have a connection to North Wales and I have wanted to pick up this book for many years very good value you very pleased with it

Good book.
Interesting book. First few chapters are excellent. I was hoping for information on drovers roads on Ruabon Mountain but was disappointed.
