Compelling and thought provoking
This is an excellent book. Written in a very unusual style it won't be for everyone, the the content is compelling and thought provoking in terms of dystopian future possibilities. Great Dystopian Novel
This is a great dystopian novel, a seminal work which inspired Orwell's 1984 and others. In my opinion, it is superior as well as being original. A masterpiece of twentieth century literature. Spawned countless imitators but no equals. Huxley and Orwell over do the horrors. Zamyatin's characters are believable human souls trapped in a paradigm of brainwashing and propaganda. Zamyatin even manages to provide moments of bleak comedy.
