The Laughable Legend of a Man Called Horse.
The tale of Horse Badortes, first encountered when I were but a lad and oh how I laughed and oh how I wanted to own my own copy instead of borrowing it from the local library. It only took me about 40 years to find a copy. It's the story of an ageing NYC hippie burn-out and hand-held electric fan obsessive as he prepares to hold a concert of hand-held electric fans (each different make has its own tone) while balancing a serious attention-deficit, a poor grasp of how calendars work and a burning need to seduce every cute teenage girl that crosses his path. Wonderfully eccentric
