Acclaimed actors Gabriel Byrne and Dianne Wiest return for the second season of HBO's IN TREATMENT. The series revolves around Dr. Paul Weston (Byrne), whose recent divorce has forced him to relocate to Brooklyn and begin his practice anew. Great stories, and broken into bite-sized pieces to watch when able.
Came in original packaging, in very good condition. This is a very engaging series, allowing a 'staged' inside view of treatment sessions, but even more revealing is the personal life of the therapist. You are able to view his personal life/issues, both with his family, and with his personal therapist. Whether typical or not for a therapist, it is interesting to see the overlap between treatment sessions with his patients, and the topics discussed between himself and his personal therapist. So many parallels. Almost as if he adopts the characteristics of each of his patients and displays these to his personal therapist as his own idiosyncrasies and complaints, responding to her questions similarly to how his patients responded to him in session. Well paced, not hurried, and a good variety of patients and conditions. Good writing.

An engrossing and insightful adult drama.
The series is very interesting to watch because with each session, the patients reveal a little more of their personal fears and history which explain how they came to be "in treatment." Even the therapist has personal baggage which effects his view of the world. There are many shades to the truth. '

Love this series!
Excellent series. Best program showing what therapy is really like. Stories are engaging and the acting is superb. Gabriel Byrne is terrific.
