An iconic music series rivaled only by AMERICAN BANDSTAND in popularity, SOUL TRAIN originally debuted in late 1971, and ran consistently for twenty-five years. As created by Don Cornelius, the program featured a veritable who's who of African American music acts, performing in the soul and r&b genres, capped off with a recurring "dance line" segment that found various members of the audience getting up to dance and thus revealing the latest hair, fashion and dance trends to the at-home viewing audience. This package is actually a compilation of memorable performances from SOUL TRAIN, staged and filmed over the years. Contents include: "Love's Theme" by Love Unlimited Orchestra, "I Wanna Take You Higher" by Sly & the Family Stone, "Summer Breeze (Part 1)" by The Isley Brothers, "Respect" by Aretha Franklin and the Soul Train Dancers, and much more.

Memory lanes feeling good!
Took me back to the 70s....the dancers and outfits are out of this world. My grandkids loved it.
