495 instead of 496
For my purpose, the 495 was a great choice. I already have a 496 in my plane with the XM weather. When I first put my 496 in my Grumman Tiger, it mounted it in the glove box area by the co-pilot using a panel mount. It was far away so I wasn't happy with it there. I moved my 496 over to the pilot side with a special windshield mount leaving a hole in my panel. Not liking empty areas and wires hanging out, I decided on the 495 to fill that space and use some of the additional pages for more instant information. It works great.
