Unreliable and dishonest scholarship in the "study" part of this Bible.
This Bible is written from the perspective that the Bible cannot be believed in much of what it says. The group that put it together is the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America which gives lip-service to the authority of Scripture in its official publications, but proves it rejects the "plenary inspiration" of Scripture in its notes about the text. Those scholars who defend Scripture and give good solid answers to apparent problems are ignored, and the liberal scholars are believed and followed.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Somewhat disappointing!!
Disappointed in the study notes. They aren't very detailed. The scholars who did this don't seem committed theologically. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't have bought this bible.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
