Just what I needed.
Just what I needed for more understanding. This helps me connect more with the Blackman. I appreciate this book and the perspective it lays out. My friends and I have turned it into a book club where we will discuss each Sunday it’s content and how it’s shaping our own understanding of our men and what we as Blackman should change, understand, and/or consider; how it affects us. Great read so far. Excited to discuss with friends.

I thought it was out of print!
I purchased this book to replace the one I bought in the early 90's. I'm so happy that Sister Ali has made a resurgence and her work is available to a new generation.

Much better than expected!
Although lightweight, this book packs a punch with very interesting information. Shahrazad Ali didn't disappoint with her unique perspective, not commonly discussed in the mainstream media. A very thought-provoking read.
