I thought this part was going to work great, especailly since I spent the extra money buying the AC Delco part, until I installed it. I installed it and smacked the back of it to release the pin inside (that puts tension beck on the timing chain). I thought all was good, and started the car. The car started running very poorly and my engine light came on. I hooked up the scanner and it tells me #1 cylinder is misfiring. I do all my checks to make sure its not spark, fuel or compression. After doing a compression check I realize that I have bent valves in cylinder #1 and #2. So now my engine is junk, and I have no transportation.
If you own a vehicle with an Ecotec you need this! Unless your into hearing the brrrrp when you start it a few times then go out one day and it's done. This is why the Ecotec engines fail. And the job is easy if your at all mechanically inclined.
