I love RPs
This is my third Digitech RP unit. I bought the first two for myself and my rhythm guitar player. I really like the versatility and the ability to have a full range of effects pedals in one unit and one power supply. It makes setting up somewhere else a breeze. I bought this one so I could have a pedal. I was happy with my non-pedal RP unit, but an add on pedal was just as much money as an RP250, so we're going to try the old RP as a vocal effects unit. I run all of this into a mixer board and then out to some old AKAI stage speakers. Great sound! The down side was the software to set up effects on my PC. I've been into programming for years and did it as a profession, so I'm pretty good at making software and hardware work. I had a LOT of trouble getting this unit to be recognized by the software and it wasn't until I registered the unit with Digitech that it worked. Would a company go to this much trouble just to make you register a product? That's hard for me to believe, but I'm just telling you what I found. Anyway, I'd tell any of my friends to buy one of these and I'd gladly help them set it up. Once the software sees the unit, it's an absolute breeze to set up effects and store them. Very Useful Tool
Very useful tool for practicing and recording or performing live within reason. Stereo outputs, Aux in, USB connection for streaming or X-Edit download, Mixer/Amp switch and Headphone option all very useful for me.
