Offering a selection of three unique sounds, the Boss OC-2 Octave guitar effect pedal allows for tones below the original, at the original, and an octave above the original. This allows a player to use the guitar effect pedal and reach sounds normally unavailable with one guitar. The Boss guitar effect pedal allows for separate volume control for each of the octaves. Other features of the Boss guitar effect pedal include a specific pitch control for natural sounds, as well as staccato sounds, without losing pitch. The Boss OC-2 Octave guitar effect pedal includes a power source from either a 9V battery or an AC adapter. This way, the guitar effect pedal can be used when plugged into the wall or on battery power for wireless control. With the Boss guitar effect pedal, a musician will be able to create the clear, strong sounds of three different guitars from one single musical instrument.

Boss makes really good gear
Watch You-tube examples of this pedal (Boss OC-2) to see if this is the sound you like. If it is then Boss pedals are simple and very well made. Metal case that will last many years. Pedals that they don't make any more are always a little expensive. The newer modal the Boss OC-3, is not the same pedal.

Best octave pedal yet
This octave pedal has a very rich organic natural octave effect, right on the money ... synth sound is unique and also right on the money! My favorite octave pedal by far.

special application
Thought id try this older analog, as I passed on it years ago. I wasn't surprised at its performance. Its very slow on the uptake and needs a special studio/player situation. When playing live I found it very annoying and simply switched off. RE-CAP.. If possible try to play before buying so it meets your 'paticular' needs. tx

Great tracking and timbre. Super fun. Versatile, can be either aggressive or discreet. Up to six different combo settings.

!00% Effective.
They are a little difficult to get in but once in they work perfect, perhaps better than original bumpers.

I hadn't had a chance to use it because ...
I hadn't had a chance to use it because it was a gift. The LED does not light up and makes too much noise when you turn the buttons. I feel very upset.
