The Konica Minolta XG-M, categorised as a Konica Minolta 35 mm film camera, can use several standard MD and MC series interchangeable Minolta lenses mounted using the Minolta SLR bayonet mount. Of these, the 50 mm f/2 MD and 50 mm f/1.7 MD lenses are constructed using six elements in five groups and the 50 mm f/1.4 MD and 50 mm f/1.2 MD lenses have seven elements in six groups. Magnification on this SLR camera is 9x when the 50 mm lens is focused at infinity. Step-less shutter speeds from 1/1000 s to 1 s provide fully-automatic exposure using an electromagnetic, horizontal traverse shutter release on the SLR camera, giving an auto-exposure range of EV 2 to EV 17. The auto-exposure control is activated by finger contact on the touch-switch button to vary shutter speeds continuously in the automatic mode, while the same can be operated stepwise, manually. Full aperture TTL metering of the centre-weighted type is achieved by two sensitive CdS cells placed at the rear of the pentaprism on this Konica Minolta 35 mm film camera. The pentaprism viewfinder placed at eye-level on the Konica Minolta XG-M provides 93 percent view of the 24 mm by 36 mm film frame. The user has a choice of two alkaline manganese or silver oxide batteries to power this Konica Minolta 35 mm film camera body that weighs 515 g (18.2 oz) and is 5.2 cm deep, 8.9 cm high, and 13.8 cm wide (2.1 inches by 3.5 inches by 5.4 inches).Product Identifiers

Great film camera with great lens
Great film camera with great lens Well-made, good features and a wonderful lens. I got mine for a good price (some are way too expensive) and it's proved a good purchase, as good as other popular 35mm cameras. Focusing manually takes some practice after years of using autofocus, but the lens is crisp and bright and the images produced are beautifully smooth by which I mean that the capture detail is excellent and there is minimal distortion. Brilliant camera
