The Onkyo TX-SR607 is a fully equipped midrange home theatre receiver. This Onkyo receiver has the version 1.3a HDMI, which provides audio and 1080p video processing. This HDMI version enables the consumer to have control on the electronics, and it provides greater bandwidth to deal with high resolutions, deep colour, and frame rates. Furthermore, the HDMI version 1.3a in this Onkyo receiver also carries the master-quality high-definition audio formats, such as DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD. This 7.2 channel receiver also offers a variety of connectivity options, allowing users to incorporate HD radio, an iPod, or a SIRIUS satellite radio, to name a few. In addition, this Onkyo receiver employs three Audyssey technologies. The Audyssey 2EQ deals with sound distortion. The Audyssey dynamic volume control allows the user to maintain a desired volume level, and lastly, the Audyssey dynamic EQ for loudness correction controls audio deterioration at extreme levels of volume. The Onkyo TX-SR607 has 140-watt stereo mode power and a surround mode power of 90 watts. In addition, this 7.2 channel receiver has 40 user-defined preset channels. great amp easy to use

Best sound, brings movies and music to life.
This was my first proper AV receiver. Using the ARC HDMI was a revelation as it enabled me to reduce the number of items plugged into the back of my tv, also reducing the amount of remotes needed.
