Good UpGrade
I just purchased a Dell d-830, Nice ole computer, BUT it came with a 1.80ghz Core 2 Duo. This 2.6ghz really put the snap into the ole Dell. With Ubuntu Loaded and 6gb of ddr2 this ole Dell outperforms many brand new computers..... Thank You, New-Future-Technology :-) P.S. This was a good time to clean the Fan and CPU cooling system.....

Works great
Upgraded a old VISO laptop and this was the best bang for the buck out there in this socket and that I knew would work with the BIOS that came with the board. It took a while on the literal slow boat from China during the pandemic, but I can deal with that.

Small speed up, worth what I paid.
Refurbished processor, top speed possible for this Sony laptop. Seems to work fine, runs somewhat hotter than the original, not unexpected for about 20% increase in clock speed. 2.2GHz to 2.6Ghz.

Fastest Merom processor for the Dell D630/830 family of laptops. The fastest Penryn for the D630/830 is the T9500. There are faster processors, but they don't cool reliably.
