XFX built the nForce 780i motherboard around NVIDIA’s eponymous high-performance chipset, the nForce 780i. The nForce 780i chipset comprises a System Platform Processor (SPP), also known as a northbridge, and a Media Communications Processor (MCP), also known as a southbridge. A third chip, the nForce 200, sets the XFX nForce 780i chipset apart from non-NVIDIA motherboards. The NVIDIA 200 supplies 32 lanes of PCIe 2.0 connectivity independent of the MCP. Bypassing the southbridge and routing 32 dedicated lanes of configurable PCIe 2.0 connectivity to the SPP (at a rate of 5 GT per second) increases overall CPU conserves resources and improves overall CPU performance. The XFX nForce 780i Intel motherboard features NVIDIA’s 3-Way SLI technology. 3-Way SLI allows for up to three NVIDIA SLI-Ready GeForce Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) to run simultaneously on one motherboard. With three GeForce GPUs running, 3-Way SLI produces 2.8 times higher performance over single-GPU systems, evinced in 60-Frames Per Second (FPS) gameplay at resolutions as high as 2560p by 1600p. Maximum game settings won’t interfere with CPU performance either, thanks to 3-Way SLI. You can play games that utilize high-memory Microsoft DirectX 10 effects such as volumetric particle shadowing, volume shadowing, Horizon-Based Ambient Occlusion (HABO), and Gaussian smoothing without lowering the settings. The board also supports High-Definition Audio (HAD) and produces 192 kHz of 32-bit quality over eight channels – ideal for combination gaming-Home Theater PC (HTPC). The XFX nForce 780i SLI motherboard has an Intel LGA775 socket compatible with Intel CPUs. Compatible processors series include Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Quad, Pentium Dual Core, and Pentium 4. The 780i MCP brings an array of high-performance NVIDIA technologies and features with it. NVIDIA nTune gives you real-time monitoring and complete control over your rig setting via a Microsoft Windows-based interface. With nTune, you can overclock your system when playing resource-intensive games and underclock your system when running low-resource programs, such as word processors. nTune also gives you access to voltage controls, system temperatures, and component-adjustment tools all without rebooting your machine. To protect computer storage, the XFX nForce 780i SLI motherboard comes with NVIDIA MediaShield, a type of virtual security barrier that complements installed security systems to protect against malware and viruses introduced through streaming media and media sent over high-speed networks. Other NVIDIA technologies include Native Gigabit Ethernet and FirstPacket, which lets you control the data schema of large file transfers, VoIP calls, and online game data. The XFX nForce 780i SLI motherboard provides two PCI Express 2.0 x 16 expansion slots, one PCI 1.0 expansion slot, one USB 2.0 interface that supports up to 10 USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire interface, one SPDIF output, one audio-in connector, one audio-out connector, two PS2 ports (mouse and keyboard), six SATA/PATA (0, 1, 0+1, 5 RAID support) mass-memory drive connectors, two Dual Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, which work together to deliver twice the bandwidth. high end board
this was a very high end board in its time. great for overclocking, top of the line manufacturing, lasted me 10+ years. the only problem now with windows 10 and UFEI video cards, you won't be able to run it with the latest GPUs, but there are still plenty of excellent video cards that can still run AAA titles of today.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
