Excellent product - use with confidence
An excellent rust remover that is non-toxic. It may require several attempts for heavy rust, sanding in between with 80 grit or similar, but it leaves clean metal and does not affect paint. Best brushed on as a layer a few mm thick, and covered by clingfilm for a couple of days, then rinse off with water. Repeat if necessary. I've used the Belt Hamber range for some years, and always found it excellent. A highly recommended rust remover.

It works
Bought this to treat the rust on my old transporter van. The wheel arches were quite bad so I removed the paint and got down to the bear metal to reveal the rust. I painted it on nice and thick and covered it in clingfilm which was abit of a tricky job as it was windy that day, left it for 6 hours and could see it had started to work as the apple sauce coloured gel was going brown with a white outline. I decided to leave it on for 24 hours to give it the best chance. I removed the clingfilm the next day and rubbed the rusty areas with a wire brush then washed off with warm soapy water. I was amazed that all but the biggest patches of rust were gone and in its place was clean metal. I repeated the process on the remaining rust spots and this time it was all gone, just left with pitted clean metal. Really is good stuff that works just takes a while, I'd quite happily buy more.

Bilt Hamber stuff is good, but make sure you want the gel before choosing this - it certainly works for overhead stuff (eye protection ESSENTIAL!) but if the liquid version can be brushed on other surfaces that could be better for you

a good product
i bought some of this Deox gel to use on my sons classic mini, it seems to work well, sometimes have to go through the procedure a couple of times to remove heavy rust but it does the trick.

Very impressed with this gel...made quit...
Very impressed with this gel...made quite a difference to the item I was cleaning up in only three hours and unlike phosphoric treatments doesn't leave a black deposit that has to be removed.

Outstanding results if you're patient
If you're prepared to be patient then this is an excellent product. Hasn't let me down so far and I've used it extensively during a car restoration.

Great Rust remover
Easy to apply looks a bit like green snot whilst working but does the job. Recommend having a wire brush for before and after application

over priced , slow ,
you have all ready done the hard work & the effect is very little , it does work a bit better if you cover with cling film , which is an added cost for an over priced item
