If details are your thing, think twice
This model looks awesome but there is one thing that may annoy you enough to make you hate it. It's something that could possibly make you hate it despite all of the good. The material is good. It's very study. Much sturdier than most models. This trait is common for earlier production models. The problem is that it is actually dark brown, not black like it should be. The TIE fighters in this product series are also blown instead of black. You would never know looking at it online and even holding it I didn't realize it until I finished building it. Now if you're a modeler you probably already have everything you'd need to repaint it but as a product that's appeal is based upon it's quick assembly-no painting easiness that would defeat the purpose. Other smaller details concerning the finer points of the paint scheme are there, like the laser barrels not being completely accurate and other grey sections along the fuselage. I'm not devastated but if I had know about this before I wouldn't have bought it. Now that I notice the brown it's kinda all I see. Awesome model!
This a great model that's easy to assemble and great looking. The sound effects are pretty cool also. It's more of a dark brown more so than black.
