Pretty darn cool.
This is a way cool robot for the novice. It's fun for a while. It's a bit limited as far as programming goes, but it does some awesome things. You have to be creative to get a lot out of it. It took me 6 hours to build it. It works flawlessly. The voice command is pretty impressive. It works with some background noise even. My smartphone doesn't fit inside it. ( Samsung GALAXY S6) I had trouble getting it to connect to Bluetooth. When I did get it to connect, the app wasn't real intuitive. I kept wanting to use the back function and would exit the app. You have to use the in menu buttons. Overall...the price is great for what this guy will do. Really fun. I'm hoping there will be working hands available at some point. The non automated ones detract from an otherwise awesome, easy to use robot. (Just a note...the robot I built does have a flaw. The drivewheels are not fully in sync. He always turns slightly to the left when given the "forward" command. I haven't investigated why yet, but hope it's an easy fix. So many neat options!
The Meccanoid G15 KS is such a neat product! This one is huge at 4 foot tall, and you can make endless combinations of other things with his parts. I especially recommend getting the servo expansion pack, it's affordable at less than 40 dollars, it's on sale for 20 now, but I don't know what the typical price is. Anyhow, the servo pack gives you 10 extra servos to add even more dexterity to his movements. I hope they add more expansion packs! Meccanoid can easily be turned into a large dinosaur too with just a few flips of the pieces. It's a great project for the whole family!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Wonderful and educational
My grandson loves his Meccanoid robot! He (9yrs old) and I (66yr old grammy) had a good time putting him together. The directions need to followed exactly and in a few places the pictures didn't show specifically what we had to be careful of. If you use both the written and digital directions from the website it makes it easier. What a delight it was to see my grandson's face when the system check said 100%. Freaking AWESOME!
My 14 year old son put this together COMPLETELY by himself. It took him about 2 1/2 days. The pay-off was AMAZING! He's truly enjoying working with it and expanding it. He also has a book on learning simple coding and has begun to mess around with that and making "CHARLIE" (Meccanoids new name) truly a very special project that can do nothing but grow and grow. Granddaughter proclaimed "Best Christmas Gift Ever"
Well designed parts and directions. 13 year old assembled a very simply kit last year and was the only prior experience she had building a robot. She has worked furiously to assemble this kit and LOVES IT! Definitely good preparation for the future our kids will be living in. Kit can be built into other robot designs as well. She has built this with very few questions and lots of pride development within her as she sees this kit come to life. I see engineering talents within her that she can only benefit from in the years ahead. Company offers additional parts and pieces so she can design and build her own custom robot. She can place her phone into the chest area if the robot to create custom behavior from this robot. A great way to develop programming skills too! 10 year old put together!

Meccano meganoid g15ks
A good product but needs adult supervision (I suggest). The instructions r not that clear. The build progress tho is quite enjoyable. The mecca brain needs to be updated with new firmware b4 it can be linked to the app thru bluetooth. The programing is not very intuiative. I suppose most children will end up using the "rag doll" mode as it is strait fwd. Overall good product. 4ft Friend
