Based on Jules Verne's 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA, NADIA: SECRET OF THE BLUE WATER begins at The World's Fair in Paris, 1889. There, a young inventor named Jean meets a young woman named Nadia, who happens to have a pet lion. Almost immediately, the two are pursued by a trio of hoods who seem to be after a magical liquid known as the Blue Water. In these episodes Nadia must battle to protect the power of Atlantis from those who would exploit it. This collection contains 19 episodes in the series and the subsequent motion picture.

Miyazaki all over it.
Knowing that he’s the screen writer/ story board. And the art speaks and screams Miyazaki. It is not exactly the same style as his studio Ghibli works. But you do see a lot of Castle in the sky and Nausicaa: of the valley of the wind in there. In fact it was made just before he started the manga. Great show has lull spots but over all great show.
