great film highly worth it for a family old school feeling.
i like the movie memories watching with my mom, simple review great to watch with family!!! moms LOVES IT got it long ago vhs for her now has severe memory loss and terminal cancer bladder/liver/stomach suffers severe paranoia too next week sadly as i found out 8/29/18 mom in decline forges meds take to many i bipolar seem unfit to care for her though want to she must go to hospice here abode home for the dying, what a sad name!! but she watched the day this dvd came in watched it 4 times back to back!..john, TX this movie and thorn birds my mom loves as full metal jacket reminds me of him as that was the battle he fought age 18, '68! these movies are linked to my parents as my mom too ghost n dirty dancing, but no comment on those haha!...

Plays great, looks good, worth having
It was a different kind of Western, not entirely plausible (20 Indians couldn't have survived those conditions and had a healthy population. 120+ years later) but really not a bad story. DVD looks great on my old tube TV and plays just fine. Wherever it was produced it is marked PAL and ALL, not NTSC Region 0, but plays on my NTSC DVD player perfectly.…even does widescreen. Worth having if you get a good price

An awesome modern western!
A modern western, a wonderful story of mystery and adventure! I was enraptured immediately the first time I saw it, and had to own the DVD for my collection!!!! I highly recommend it!!!!! Family friendly too!

It's a serious movie with some humor added to lighten it up. Actors are superb!
This is a movie I had on VHS at one time and now I own it again. Very well done movie and you forget just how good it is until you see it again! I'm so glad I have this is my dvd collection.

Great Movie! Worth the Effort to Find It!!
I had seen this movie when it first came out, and loved it. The Tom Berenger character was really well-written and extremely well-acted, and Barbara Hershey was also outstanding. The premise that this group of "Dog Soldiers" could somehow have remained hidden for so many years was maybe a stretch, but anyone who has driven through the Northwest U.S. would have to wonder. Thanks, E-Bay, for having this for me to purchase.

NOT SCRATCHES, NO SKIPS. VIEWED PERFECTLY.
Sometimes when DVDs are purchased, they are unwatchable because of scratches, warps or other reasons. I purchased two of these DVDs (one as a gift) and both were capable of viewing without error.

Refreshing entertainment.
Good story line. Not a lot of mush or gore. The actors did a good job of providing entertainment without predictive dialog or engagement. I would recommend this to most age groups.

I am the world worst critic as far as it concern's westerns. My expectations are probably hard to meet as I am a real,, dyed in the wool, student of the old west & expect it to have all the trappings as it was back then, high back saddles, weapons of the period as the Colt was not only the sidearm carried & etc. I could go along with the concept of going back into time but after they were captured, there is no way the Cheyenne would have allowed him to go back to present time to get medicine. It wouldn 't look good for the medicine man. It could have been really good as they did a good job on the Indians, which I liked but they went way off the chart w/ the machismo of Barringer & his problems w/ the sheriff.
