Decent transfer of a flawed masterpiece.
You aren’t going to get an HD copy of this cult classic. This is as reasonable a copy as I have seen. I really want a longer cut of this film, which was slashed to ribbons by the studio. Michael Mann’s visuals and Tangerine Dreams score, plus a great cast. All butchered by terrible editing post production. A cult classic in every sense.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

The Keep on DVD
I wasn't expecting much, to be honest. It is well-known the director and Paramount have no plans to revisit this film for official DVD or Blu-ray release, so I wasn't sure how this version on DVD would look. It is a perfectly acceptable transfer from presumably VHS (it could be a film print) to DVD and is not second-rate it any way. If you - like me - are fed up waiting for it to be aired on TV or Netflix again, this will do very nicely for now.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

The keep
If your a fan of the film and have tracked down the other vhs rip Australian dvd, or have a copy of the laserdisc print, this is far superior, its not perfect no but as other reviews say its the best we are likely to get any time soon.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Meh!
I'm glad I finally got to see this film as I knew it was a cult classic. However the storyline kept me interested but also left me bewildered. And it could have really done with subtitles as the sound quality wasn't that great.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Best transfer to date
Hard to find DVD quality version of movie. Better than all other video, DVD and TV transfers I have seen. Almost as good as the the times I saw this movie at the cinema. Have waited so long for a quality Blu-Ray transfer, but this will do until then.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
