It does more than it says on the tim
I first used this decking protector a few years back when I first built the decking, I only put one coat on back then as it was fresh treated decking, it lasted a lot longer than I thought and really repelled water well, it was also grippy underfoot and brought the decking alive, Around 4 years on the decking started to go a little green and slippy so I thought I’d jet wash it off and give it another going over with Ronseal decking protector, this time I gave it 2 coats, wow it looks like brand new again and looks even better than when I first did it, I highly recommend this product, it may seem a bit expensive but it will really pay off with the quality of finish, ease of use and how long it lasts, I needed 4 cans for our decking but did out it on generously.

Great protection for outdoor wood and easy to apply
Easy to apply either with a paint brush or a sprayer. It dries quickly, sometimes a little too quickly on a hot day. If you're putting two coats on, don't leave it too long between them. Better to put two coats on half the job and then to do the other half than to have the second coat rejected by the first one. Apart from that, the finish looks very good and it keeps wood, even treated softwood, in tiptop condition for many years. I have used it for many years on my decking but I bought it this time to treat some new softwood sleepers that I have -had laid as a lawn edging.

Excellent product/
Excellent product. Easy to apply. Highly recommended. My decking is not new but I pressure washed it first and let it dry out. The recent dry spell really helped. This Ronseal protector worked really well applied by brush and I find the decking is not so slippery after rain either. Good quality stuff like all Ronseal products. You cannot really go wrong.

Great produce for a natural looking fence
I used this to oil my fence and wanted a natural looking product that’s wasn’t clear and yellow but more natural wood colour T So coats on a fence and it’s looking great and has sealed the wood and removed the natural greying effect completely

Good product
Have used this product on our new decking and it's really good. The price is also very good much cheaper than our local DIY.

Good Stuff
Good stuff; use it every year and keeps my decking looking great; you do need to re-coat every year and you must do the 2nd coat within 90 mins of the first or it won’t take.

easy to apply and very effective
You need only a few short hours to apply but after prolonged rain you can see the water sitting on the surface with no penetration.

Great preserver
Easy to apply, nice natural finish, I've used this on my shed for the last 6 years and think it's the best preserver on the market.
