Chrissie Hynde’s Akron Roots Are Showing
Chrissie Hynde takes The Pretenders in a new direction—country—with this album. I would never have thought of her as a country-Western singer, but here she showcases her infinite versatility. Her voice has never been better. The pedal steel guitarist is another of the album’s delights.
