My review of the UO Smart Beam NX Big Bang 10 Edition
I absolutely love this projector! It took me several months to determine which would be the best. After realizing this one supports external media, it was a done deal! The packaging is wonderful! I know, that's minor, but it was very professional. This cube simply amazes me! The room doesn't have to be pitch black dark but of course the darker it is, the better the quality. I experimented with it in several ways. I've played movies from the micro SD card, hooked up my directv box to it, and even my Xbox. Surprisingly, it's super simple! It supports Apple airplay but it does lag slightly. Screen mirroring is super easy as well. The screen size is amazing! I can literally adjust the keystone to be a 6" screen all the way up to one of my blank walls in my house which is 8 feet tall and obviously wider than it is tall. My biggest problem with this projector is no auxiliary jack. Which seems to be common on most micro projectors. I wish I could simple plug in headphones or use the aux cord in conjunction with my entertainment system. But Bluetooth connectivity is rather simple. Other than that, I'm 100% satisfied with this purchase and absolutely loving it! It supports video files of MKV., AVI., and MP4. I haven't tested any others as these 3 are the most common that I deal with. I would suggest buying an HDMI to micro HDMI cord in conjunction with your purchase! Quit shopping around! This is perfect! Wish I would have bought it sooner! This review is honest and raw. No discounts provided, no incentives, no bribe, not even a prompt! Impressive picture but difficult to work with Android phone.
I use a miniature a/v device with remote and a battery power pack with two USB slots, one to power projector and the other to power the a/v device, as a work around. Connected with a HDMI casting dongle or can use USB thumb drive or sd card in the slot on a/v device. Not much difference than the first smartbeam
So it says that the Big Bang is 200 Ansi lumens....but when side by side with the initial Big Big there is not much difference at all. Plus the new Big Bang is a pain in the ass to mirror with any other device....even with the limited instructions.
