Unexpected anomaly, but great item,well received.
Exactly what I wanted as a replacement for one of my now-defunct minidisc decks. It has one inexplicable feature.... it won't play any of the minidiscs I recorded on the previous device ( Sony mds - s50 )... however they all still play on my old portable 'walkman' . Strange. Anyway, newly-recorded discs perform perfectly, and pre-recorded lens-cleaners with additional supplementary demo-tracks work fine too. I suspect some sort of atrac anomaly, or maybe the sample-rate on the current product is different, perhaps?.... but it was a reasonable price, was in fair condition, arrived perfectly packed for transit, and is already being well-used. Shame that this system was flawed at it's release, and didn't last long... because I find it as good as CD and better than tape-cassette as a music-format. A pleasing purchase.

Faulty
Anologue inside the mini disc player must be broken or faulty, not connecting to amp as no sound is coming through. My CD player works fine connected to my amp

It’s a Sony.
As with all Sony products the MDS-JE20 minidisc deck is a superb product looks fantastic sounds fantastic is fantastic. Yes I’m a Sony fan 👍
