SE Gemini I Review
The owner of the SE Gemini had updated with NOS tubes. So the sound quality is very good. I am using the microphone to record acoustic guitars of many makes, models and woods. So far the results have been excellent. The microphone is much quieter than I was expecting. I am getting the articulation of the pick and strings without it being hyped - clear, clean and crisp. The microphone has an internal two-tube signal path - so there is some getting used to the sound. The recording signal path has been both through a Millennia SST-1 and a Shadow Hill Mic Pre - both giving completely different results. Which is nice if you want to have a variety of sounds and colors for your recording purposes.
