It's a heavy machine but helps to incorporate ingredients very well in a matter of minutes.
I've wanted a stand mixer for a very long time. I like to bake and was using a hand held mixer for all of my baking needs. Been Waiting For A Long Time For You To Come Into My Life!!
Have always wanted a Kitchen-Aid and thanks to E-bay finally found one that was affordable. Do tons of baking so this has been a godsend! Workhorse of an appliance
This is a workhorse of an appliance if you bake regularly. The dough hook works fine on bread doughs ONLY in the low power positions (my husband burned out the motor with my first mixer doing this, decades ago.) We have used the accessories to grind meat for homemade sausage. It is big and heavy and takes up counter space. A dream come true
I have wanted a Kitchenaid for so long and I finally decided to dive in and get one. This machine is much quieter than my previous mixer. It does an excellent job mixing soft batter and cookie dough. I haven't tried bread dough yet. The glossy enamel finish looks good in the kitchen. I look forward to collecting the attachments to expand it's capabilities. The only thing I miss from my old machine is the mixing timer. If I had to mix cake batter for 2 minutes or knead dough for ten I could set the timer. I was free to work on something else and the mixer would shut off automatically. I recommend the addition of the scraper beater. To eliminate the need to stop the machine and scrape the sides. Great Purchase
This is the best item I've ever bought on ebay, and I've bought nearly 700 items. I use this no less than three times a week. It's well built unlike the newer models with all plastic gears that break down in just a couple of years. Mine is well over 30 maybe even 40 years old depending who you ask and works like a charm. I can't find one thing bad to say about my KitchenAid K45SS Classic Stand Tilt Mixer 250 Watt 10-Speed that came with 3 Attachments & Bowl. I would tell anyone who wants one to buy this type. KitchenAid MIxer
I love this KitchenAid mixer, purchased for my vacation property. It is my second KitchenAid mixer, the first still in use after 31 years. The only thing I have ever had to replace on the original mixer is the enamel covered beater bar. Although this mixer was missing the beater bar and the attachment cover, both pieces were easy to find and replace for a small price. This mixer is easy to use, easy to change mixing utensils, very sturdy and durable. I love the tilting mechanism because it makes the mixing bowl and utensils easy to remove/change.
