Bose is noted for high quality sound, and even though they have discontinued this iPod dock type unit I felt very fortunate to acquire one for a good price... they are relatively small, but put out a full range of sound with enough base tones... and this one was in excellent condition... along with a nano ipod.

The Bose Series 2 Sound Dock sounds amazing! Very few speakers sound this good in this form factor at this price point. Connectivity, even with the older 30 PIN Apple connector is great, because it has the tried and true 3.5mm Aux connection. Use a 3.5mm cable or buy a $10 Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the 3.5mm connector and receives BT audio from anything that can produce it. TaoTronics is the brand I got. Throw in a great remote control you can use by feel in the dark and you can’t go wrong with this unit.

The Bose system sounds great, good volume and runs well. The only thing I wish it had was an equalizer because I like adjusting the mid range and high notes. Good lows but a little muffled on mid/highs. However, overall I'm glad I bought it.

I'm old-school with a big old iPod (160 gig). This speaker sounds great, and works perfectly with older technology. Sure, I could use my phone and a bluetooth speaker, but I like to keep my music separate from my phone (don't want to use that much memory of my phone, or drain battery faster than it already does).

I used to sneer at the whole Bose mystique: Why would anybody pay that much for a set of speakers? Well, this is why: The sound is beautiful, and this is coming from admittedly a low-tech (comparatively) model that lacks an equalizer. (That dojammie that changes the treble and bass.) This system is in a sort of alcove off a large open space, and manages to fill the room without sounding tinny or being played at a neighbor-irritating volume. I love it to pieces! Also, because I have a newer iPhone with a lightning connector, I had to get a bluetooth adapter (about $20). This lets my son's Android use the Bose as well.
