A relatively inexpensive solution for the Reformer experience.
I owned a Pilates Reformer training studio for 5 years as an entrepreneur. I used Balanced Body Reformer/Tower combinations which cost close to $5,000 each delivered. They are exquisite. I closed my studio. I cannot afford that quality in my home. This unit gives the basic Reformer experience. This reformer has four tension cords, all one tension, "black." I could not find the flexibility in "weight" to suit my needs, so I bought two yellow cords (lighter) to add more varied possibilities. The pullies are plastic which I don't like. Time will tell how smooth the carriage rollers are. I wanted a taller machine, so I added 4" cement blocks under each leg. I also bought a box from Stamina. Stamina makes another Reformer with 5 springs instead of cords. I don't know whether it would satisfy me more. It cost an additional $500. Overall, I am hoping this piece will do the job.
