English as a Second Language Working Tool
As a teacher of English to people who speak other languages, I find this recorder useful. Whenever the lesson presents sounds of vowels or consonants that are difficult for my students or phrases that I wish my students to practice until they are automatically fluent, I make a recording with them. Then I leave the recorder so they can use it between lessons in order to polish up their English.

It works well.
I had recently purchased and returned two other micro cassette players on eBay that didn't work. This one works perfectly.

Positive experience
Hard to find these in working condition moving parts wear out, which means dwindling numbers and higher prices. This time, I got a good VR at a good price.

No voice activation.
Voice activation feature was the only reason a I purchased this item. And, it doesn't work.

Excellent value
This is a good value. It is in workable condition. Some instruction would have been nice but I was able to figure it out. And the market wants over 300.00 for one of these new.
