An 8-channel film and music digital audio computer, which is at the heart of this system, allows you to create a variety of listening environments of your choosing. A built-in line level preamp, which features eight digital audio inputs and eight analog inputs, harnesses all of the digital audio power. An 8-input broadcast-quality S-video and composite switcher ensure the highest video output available. An eight-channel, 24-bit broadcast-quality D/A converter delivers the superior surround sound experience that is accomplished with the system. Each of these four components is designed specifically for the creation of the Lexicon MC-1. Unleash your power to create exciting and entertaining listening environments when you put the eight-channel music and film digital audio computer to work. Whether you want the upbeat tunes that rock the nightclub, a special surround sound that is captured at a concert hall, or relaxed listening of church and cathedral acoustics, the effects are limitless. Other DSP surround modes that are delivered with clarity include Dolby Digital, DTS 2-Channel, DTS Music, DTS Logic 7, DS Film, TV Matrix, and THX Cinema just to name a few. Experience ambience extraction with the added benefits of music logic and music surround effects, allow you to create a real home theater within any room of your home. The choices are yours as you set the parameters to customize the MC-1 amplifier to your desired listening pleasure. Control your device from the comfort of your favorite chair with the included remote control. This gives you the ability to make volume changes, select the desired effects, as well as view the onscreen display and front-panel display. You are provided a joystick for easy toggling through menus and submenus, make individual input selections, gain convenient access to special effects buttons, and turn the system on and off at your leisure. A complete set of audio connection posts is located on the rear panel of the Lexicon MC-1 amps. This is not the typical design of home theater A/V receivers, as it is a much more convenient design and makes for easier connection capabilities to all of your audio and video equipment. Two special outputs, which include one 5-pin DIN connector and one 4-pin removal screw terminal, simplify the process of powering on other units connected to the amplifier and allow for specific inputting of selections from various sources. GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK
THIS IS A WONDERFUL PREAMP THE SOUND IS STATE OF THE ART AND THE BUILD QUALITY IS VERY GOOD BUT BE CAREFUL NOT TO BLOCK THE TOP VENTS BECAUSE THE UNIT WILL OVERHEAT AND STOP WORKING AND WILL NEED A TRIP TO THE REPAIR SHOP. THERE ARE MANY OTHER UNITS AROUND FOR THE SAME COST SO DON'T LET THE SIMPLE LOW TECH LOOKS OF THIS LEXICON MC1 FOOL YOU BECAUSE THIS UNIT HAS SMOOTH CLEAN SOUND FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND IT IS BUILT TO LAST BUT REMEMBER DO NOT BLOCK THE VENTS IF YOU DO IT WILL FAIL.
