The JVC HR-S7800u is one of the top 10 VCRs ever made.
The JVC HR-S7800u is one of the top 10 VCRs ever made, when used for transferring VHS to digital formats. The built-in line level Time Base Corrector and other features make it a strong choice for this purpose. It's not quite as good as the 8xxx or 9xxx models, though a casual user would have a very hard time telling the difference. The transports on the other models are better, and the TBCs have more memory. The visual quality of the output is very similar. Finding a good one on EBay is very hard. I was VERY lucky with mine. It is in perfect shape.
