Some say they do, some say they don't but they ALL do it!
This item, a gps, seems to want to hang around in Wisc??? I think it needs a battery. I keeps going to Wisconsin and I'm in Massachusetts. I think I'll try to fit it with a new battery? See if that helps... for ten bucks I figure I can't go wrong. I have another one but it's screen is missing every other line so I took it apart and put its battery in one of my hearing aids. Anyway, thinks for the great deal. Mike

Not user friendly
This is an older model with out dated maps. (Which was not a big deal for me) The seller does a good job of disclosing this fact. Problem I had was that the GPS menu was not user friendly like today's GPS systems. The menu was oblivious in the early days of GPS's development. Bought for my second car as a inexpensive GPS. I recommend you spend a little more and get a newer model that has a menu that has evolved over the years and is more user friendly.

Oldie but Goodie
Still reliable after 15+ years. The only drawbacks are that it is sometimes slow to acquire GPS signal and there are no map updates. However, very few roads have changed in my area in all that time.
