In the 1920s, a group of archaeologists led by adventurer Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) discovers the mummified body of Imhotep, an Egyptian priest who was cursed for falling in love with the Pharoah's mistress. When they accidentally resurrect him, the battle for survival begins, as the mummy begins to use his powers to reclaim his long-lost love. Widescreen outdated
This is one of the Great Mummy movies.. don't miss it. However, "Widescreen" was a passing phase.. Full Screen is what I wanted and willing to pay "more" for. I don't feel I got my money's worth.. this difference is not often clear in the Ad. I think Hollywood does that on purpose... In spite of that disappointment..the Mummy is still awesome! Brenden Fraser and Rachael Weiss at their best.. ya' gotta love that character Benny too. The Mummy transforms the old Boris Karloff monster into a true threat in classic fashion.
