Great quality upgrade for inferior original part that is prone to breaking and limited in its performance. The GFB DV+ is made of solid aluminum and has a high quality brass piston and plunger so there is very little chance of failure - hence why GFB provides a lifetime warranty! The DV+ allows progressive boost whereas the OEM diverter valve only has two states - open and closed, plus it is much stronger and is recommended for modified engines running higher boost / remaps, etc. to handle the extra power. I fitted one to a JCW Mini and the increase in performance was quite noticeable - better acceleration, longer boost and increased throttle response. Highly recommended - but please watch out for fakes as there is a counterfeit market for these. Original parts come in a side-opening black box with inner yellow cardboard sleeve and high quality sponge inner. The brass piston is tight fitting and the longer Allen bolts are stamped on the end. Counterfeit models have a different box, lower quality sponge inner and the pistons are loose fitting and fall out easily. The Allen bolts are also un-stamped on the ends. A genuine GFB DV+ will usually cost between £95 - £125 so avoid anything cheaper than this - unless buying from a reputable dealer.

Gfb diverter valve
Lost my turbo sounds after fitting it but gained longer boost time and better turbo response after gear changes. Happy with the results.
