Ann Sheridan and Cary Grant have great chemistry
Ann Sheridan and Cary Grant have charming and fun interactions in this movie based in Germany after World War II. She's vibrant, sassy, and full of character. He's a great combination of sauve and subte. It is a little odd having Cary Grant play a French national. Thankfully, he does not waste any effort trying to speak as though he were French.

Ann Sheridan at her best.
The direction, costumes, story line and shows a picture of the life of people in the Armed Forces after WWII was accurate and can be classified as an archeological treasure. It would have been even more interesting had it been filmed in color to show Ann Sheridan's red hair.

This is one of the great's.
This is one of the best comedies of the time. I love it. It is right up there with "Father Goose".
