The story of Disney's LITTLE MERMAID continues in ARIEL'S BEGINNING, a lushly drawn prequel to the 1989 animated classic. Long before Princess Ariel (Jodi Benson) found her true love on land, the young mermaid lived many musical adventures in her amazing underwater home, amid her many performing sisters and royal parents. When lovely-voiced Queen Athena (Lorelei Hill Butters) is abducted by pirates, however, King Triton (Jim Cummings), outlaws all singing, leaving his youngest daughter bereft of the two things she loves the most: her mother and her music. Not wishing to displease her father, but incapable of giving up her true passion, Ariel attends secret concerts, carefully eluding the wicked and watchful Marina Del Rey (voiced by Academy Award winner Sally Field.) Together with her friends Sebastian (Samuel E. Lightweight with great features

Beautiful and entertaining.
My sister use to have this movie when she was younger, and I use to like it once I got to know it. But her copy was given away and I eventually decided I wanted to re obtain it. Although, I do like how Ariel made his father happy with the music box he threw away after his mother died too. It’s kinda weird how Marina never even existed in the previous other films, since she was invented as this film’s main antagonist too.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Needed more songs
This was a straight to video release so we were not expecting big new production songs but the could have thrown in a few calypso standards. All in all worth a watch but I don't see this as being a big kids favorite like the first one.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

grandchildren did not enjoy
