SynopsisCalled a "magnificently crafted story . . . brimming with wisdom" by Howard Frank Mosher inThe Washington Post Book World,Crossing to Safetyhas, since its publication in 1987, established itself as one of the greatest and most cherished American novels of the twentieth century. Tracing the lives, loves, and aspirations of two couples who move between Vermont and Wisconsin, it is a work of quiet majesty, deep compassion, and powerful insight into the alchemy of friendship and marriage. From the Trade Paperback edition.
This is an absolutely terrible printing of this fine book. The paper is like the cheapest of paperback books. The print font sie is quite small. The text is printed to leave the barest of margins.
The condition of this terrible product is good. It is just a shameful product. I was informed it was published by Random House. Actually, it is a publication of Wings Books which is in turned owned by Random House Value Publications. This is a big, big difference in book quality.
