Didn't find the early seasons all that funny. The some of the guests on show the were intriguing but poor choices. Ralph Nader and Candice Bergen for instance just don't get the delivery no matter how good the material. It impressed me as sort of 60's rebellion against establishment with actual humor as an afterthought. SNL had growing pains. The later episodes with Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler were absolutely brilliant parodies and hilarious. The had guest appearances that were more relevant. Extremely funny sitcom
