Chessmaster 10 th edition
The seller said it would work on any version of windows so I purchased it have a bad hab it of taking people on their word new but that's the problem it was on the computer stores shelves back 20 years ago and so it was of course made for windows XP who has XP now days ? not me so it caused me so much grief two agonizing weeks of trying to make it work on my windows computer finally it caused a very bad problem with my laptop the the library directory of dlls so now i can not install anything it anymore, no software or anything the install shield scripting runtime and I have no idea how to fix it its a difficult fix

Perfect On windows 10!
After Installing as admin and installing the two patches off ubisoft website. The game runs flawlessly. It takes me back 20 years when i used to play the first chessmaster 9000 when i was a kid. Happy i found it again.

For both beginners and advanced players.
As a totally clueless chess player, I have to say this game has a great tutorial and helps a lot into learning the basics. It starts from telling you how many tiles there are on a chessboard and takes you all the way to advanced playing techniques. If you are clueless or a beginner this is a great form of tutelage, if you are an advanced player the AI still offers a good challenge do not think many non rated players would beat it easily although a bit old.

Quick Delivery & Good Quality
Shipping and delivery was quick. The software may have been in a different default language than in English but it works great once we figured out how to change the language. Impressive. Thanks!

Great choice for beg. or adv. player. Note to Win 10 users: you’ll need 2 patches to run CM 11 on Win 10 sys. May need latest version of Direct X.

Great game to learn chess strategy
The interface is very nice and narrative which teaches a wide span of chess strategy from beginner to advanced is a pleasure to listen to. The Josh Waitzkin academy is particularly enjoyable as he narrates the development of his chess career, epic games played while challenging you to think moves ahead in strategizing and executing exercises (finding the best moves, improving your position) under a myriad of circumstances. He also teaches you all the fundamental principles of the game in a fun, entertaining and intuitive way. Highly recommended for beginners to advanced chess players alike.
