Very real to the heart
This is a story about an 11 year old boy in the Phillipines. He lives with his father and brothers. His brothers are bad guys like their dad. Max is always flambouyant. He gets beat up one night by some queer haters and is rescued by a nice younger policeman. They develop a friendship. The brothers beat up the cop and Max feels bad for him and spends a night caring for the cops wounds. You can see an innocent relationship developing. But when the new chief kills Max's dad, Max loses his desire for the friendship with the cop friend. Time passes and Max goes to live with his aunt and refuses to even say goodbye to the cop. The movie has a strong story line with good acting especially from the kid who plays Max. The movie is subtitled but other than that I would recommend this movie highly. It reaches out to the heart.

Interesting DVD
A cute DVD with a plot, endearing characters, good storyline. Well worth the cost as well as giving me a chance to rethink my opinion on several ideas I've not thought about before.
