A good dock with a few flaws
Firstly, this dock is very decent if you want to have the option of a desktop setup with dual monitors. I bought mine pre-owned as the buy new price is way way too high.. A few issues I’ve had is when I plug my XPS 15 9560 into the dock and boot it up the dock causes my system fan to spin up pretty loud and it stays this way until you shut it down. Dell said this is a design feature to keep the system cool due to extra load caused by connecting the dock but I reckon it’s a design flaw .. Another little issue is how loud the fan is on the dock itself, it’s proper loud but thankfully it only kicks in here and there.. The last complaint I’d have is that the USB-C cable to connect to your laptop is on the wrong side of the dock, the opposite side to my laptop and then the lead is quite short and it’s non-removable so you can get a longer cable as a replacement. Apart from these little issues it’s doing the job that I bought it for so I can’t complain too much.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Docking Station

TB16-240W and Dell XPS 15 9560
I was a bit concerned about the TB16 because the reviews are so mixed. I have a Dell XPS 15 9560 and it has USB-C and Thunderbolt, as well as a 130W power supply. My concern was powering the XPS 9560 via the USB-C. I've had the unit since 28 Dec 2017, just about 2 weeks. When I connected it, I ran dell detect and let it update everything, and thus far, it has been working as advertised. The 240W version works well with the 9560, including pushing 130W via USB-C. I run 3 monitors, 1 is UHD (4k), USB 3.0 hub, multiple external devices and the TB16 handles it well. I am pleased thus far. It was a good buy.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

It's quite, small and works great at a fantastic price...just buy it.
Works fantastic, 119 elsewhere.Can't tell it was a refurb, looks great. I did buy a Display Port to HDMI adapter as it has one display port out and out HDMI and I am using dual HDMI monitors and didn't want to deal with different cables. One port is all you need
This is a fantastic solution for XPS 15 owners. It charges your laptop and provides you with ethernet, usb 3.0 and headphones through one port. That was the main selling point for me. I wanted to be able to set up a desktop like experience but be able to grab my laptop when I needed to run. Power adapter don't match description (240w)
I feel very disappointed today as I have just found only one power adapter have enough output for Dell XPS 15 (9570)! Read the online manual
Got this and plugged it into my XPS laptop, the USB-C to monitor worked fine but nothing else, no audio, no USB sockets etc. Frustrated. However after reading the online manual and installing driver updates the unit seems to be working fine. One plug dock, what a Great Idea Dell.
