Very Impressed
I bought this to add Spotify and Satnav on my Audi as my car has no ami or mmi I it was going to be quite costly to upgrade going the Audi route as the entire entertainment system wiring harnesses would need to be changed that harness alone is £200 then all of the replacement system screen head unit and amplifier centre consul etc the cost would be nearer £1000! I found this kit and it is pretty much completely hidden and the cars standard equipment works as it always did however this very clever add on turns the basic Audi screen to a touch screen and it mirrors your iPhones app via car play basically by fitting this system I’ve gained Satnav Spotify and much more besides I also fitted a reverse park camera which works seamlessly with Audi park assist replacing the boot release button with a slightly smaller button with the added camera! In a nutshell if you want to control your music from your phone via the cars controls have your texts read out to you while driving and want Satnav but don’t want an unsightly aftermarket stereo spoiling your lovely Audi dashboard then this kit is a must at a third of the cost of fitting mmi it’s a no brainierBestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

CarPlay for Audi A5
The hardest part of installing this brilliant device is removing the glove box. Easy to follow instructions (even shows where all the glove box screws are). Once fitted, it is as simple and intuitive to use as your iPhone, the touch screen is accurate and very responsive, the microphone works well and full controls function on the steering wheel. CarPlay easy to instal
Great to upgrade my A5 with CarPlay. Comes with all items (tools) needed decent instructions, which could be a little better to be honest. Great unit, controls leave room for improvement
I wanted hands free, Bluetooth and nav... I got it. Other than the touchscreen, which I’ll come back to in a sec, you can only use the steering wheel controls to navigate... its not too much of an issue but when you hit “ok” (wheel button) or “back” (mode button) it hides the digital reader in the dash (Speedo, mpg etc) and you have to press “back” (mode button) again to bring it back but that then takes you back on the unit so you have to use touchscreen, so may as well not bother with the steering wheel controls. The touchscreen isn’t very responsive, you have to press rather than touch. Android auto is ok, it does the job but you have to have it connected by usb all the time so I opted to jump to iOS and wow, what an improvement. CarPlay wireless is awesome! Much better interface than android auto but you still get the issues above with touchscreen and steering controls. Overall I am happy with the unit but had to purchase an iPhone to get to that level. Hopefully an update to the steering controls and touchscreen will resolve these little niggling issues.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Excellent for 2010 A5
Just installed this, took about three hours. Fully functional CarPlay and reverse camera, which works with all the OEM equipment. Fitting was ok for me, but I’ve got some knowledge - recommend professional if not, although no need to tap any wires so pretty simple. I was most worried about visible wires, but they were all easily hidden in the A5 Coupe; with nothing at all showing. Reverse cam comes on automatically too!
