quick and easy setup
This was easy to set up, is relatively quiet (depends on setting), and got great reviews from Consumer Reports. The pre-filter fabric covers are a nice addition to prolong filter life, especially appreciated as filters are expensive. This is the brand used at our ENT's office, which gave it extra appeal. Whisper quiet, simple, no frills. A perfect air filter.
Whisper quiet on low. On medium, it is quieter than my old Honeywell on low, Compact size and stylish enough not to hide it in a corner. What really sealed the deal, is that it remembers the fan setting when the power gets shut off so you can plug it into a timer. Filters are a little pricey, but you can get get 3rd party filters (may void the warranty), or get a 15% discount when you "subscribe" to Blue Air filters. The Blueair 211 plus is my choice!
Best performance ever! As a life long asthma patient, I have purchased and used various brands of air purifiers over the years. Usually each unit presented pros and cons; however, Blueair is tops in design, air purification, cost saving efficiency and all presented in comfortable quietness. Simple to operate, effective, but awkward to move around.
Overall, I think that it is probably doing a good job. Have only had it for about a week. The room "feels" fresher after the unit has been on high for a while. There are 3 speeds. At high speed, it is rather noisy. At low speed, it is pretty quiet, and I can tolerate it right next to the head of my bed. I purchased it because it had high ratings on Consumer Reports, and it was much less expensive than Amazon. I generally run it on high speed in my great room during the day, and that is tolerable and seems to turn the air over pretty well. At this point, the only thing that doesn't work for me is that it is rather large, and though it only weighs 15-20 pounds, it doesn't have handles or casters, which makes it rather awkward to move from room to room.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Great unit overall.
This filter unit is lightweight, quiet, and seems to work really well. It's a very simple, easy to use appliance: one button operates the fan's three speeds and the off setting. No extra settings on this unit. The fan is super quiet, especially compared with an older unit I had that made a loud whirring sound. Awesome purifier

It's all that Bluair claims. Maybe a bit more.
Manual fan setting (via touch control) lets me run it non-stop on high when I'm out during the day. No best-guess by the filter as to whether filtering is needed or not. Filtered air flow is huge, but keep it 4-5" from the walls so you get flow into all four sides. Blue+black prefilter is like a very stretchy 1970's tube top so a little tricky to slide on, but do it anyway and in a week it'll be obvious why that's a good idea. A little noisier on high than I expected, so I run it at medium when watching TV next to it and at low in the BR. (I have two now. They're great.)Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

good air cleaner
I rated this not quiet as it is fairly noisy on high, but it moves a lot of air. On lowest setting it is quiet. This is not our first one. We have had smoke from nearby wildfires a few times and these do a good job with the smoke smell. Filters are easy to change but not cheap. Great item.
I was looking for a purifier that covered a large area, then I found this one. It was a smaller coverage area than I was looking for, but, it has a higher rating, which means that it cleans more from the air. It is my living room so I keep it on medium. The high is a little noisy. It is very easy to use and was larger than I was expecting. The blue portion is actually fabric and a gray one is also included.
