Pleasing to the eye
This replaced another unit (not OS) that had a glass display of the weather and was a nice feature - a lot of these weather units look a bit laboratory style and finished in silver or black, not this one. The three glass weather icons are under lit by multiple leds so when one is lit the leds under it morph between two colours giving a slight shade change - very nice. The time and temperature is interesting as the numbers give an appearance of fading towards the bottom of the unit plus the are dot matrix so has curved edges, another neat feature is the display is light sensitive so at night it is not lighting the whole room and in sunlight can be seen easily. A quirk is that at 8:00 pm it like to talk with the atomic clock and so for a few minutes the display does not show the inside or outside temperature - not really the end of the world. In normal setting the display is rolling between, clock, inside and outside temperatures. The finish is high gloss which sets of the glass icons. The icons are actually glass sun, cloud and raindrop I just couldn't think of a better word to describe them.
