Uni student/ Small studio single apartment
I live in a small studio single apartment with no stove top. I can't cook things that get smokey because of the fire alarm in my room (One of those fire alarms that notify reception, then they call you and if no one answers the fire brigade come out). So I just use it for boiling and steaming which it's absolutely perfect for.
Being able to change power settings and use a timer function means I can steam/boil just about anything, then go study/shower/etc. and have confidence that the stove top will turn off on it's own once the timer sets off. I did try to cook a chicken schnitzel the other day and it did a horrible job. The meat was cooked but the crumbs were raw and doughy. It's quite possibly my fault though since I had it on low power trying to avoid smoke, which meant a pulsing on/off power and thus on/off heat.
The electrical boards seem to let off a bit of smell which can be off putting with poor ventilation.
Being light, and slim allows me to store it on my shelf which is ideal for maximizing usable space.
